Stephanie and Dave are Expecting!

Stephanie and Dave are an adorable couple from South Carolina who are expecting their first child in March!  Here are some of my favorites from their maternity shoot.  

Welcome to the World Baby Symeon!

About a month ago I got an e-mail from Anna asking me to photograph the birth of her third child because her husband is in med school out of state and would most likely miss the delivery.  At first I didn't know how to respond but the more I thought about it the more I realized how amazing it would be to photograph a new life being brought into the world!  Today at 2:45 baby Symeon was born (8lbs. 1oz. and 22inches long!)  It was an amazing experience to capture such precious moments between an absolutely adorable family! 

 

A Photographer's "Starry Night"

Night photography and long exposures have always been something that I love to do. I was given complete freedom for a science project and I chose to focus on the Earth's rotation or, in a photographer's world, star streaking.  Living in Pittsburgh has made me appreciate going home and being able to see the amazing night sky, including the Milky Way.  Creating these images is very time consuming but well worth it.

Rosalie + Jon

I had another great shoot with Rosalie and Jon this weekend.  They make my job so easy!

 

Jill and Ben are Engaged!

Jill and Ben are huge sports fans; he even proposed at a baseball game!  They brought their gloves and we got some photos at the historic Forbes Field wall in Oakland. 

A quick trip home

I wasn't even home for 24 hours this weekend but it was just enough time to get some great photographs and remind me how thankful I am for my wonderful family.

 

 

 

 

 

2012 Senior: Jayda!

Jayda is going to Kent State next year for zoology so when she suggested taking her photos at the Pittsburgh Zoo I was so excited!  It was such a fun shoot on a perfect fall morning.  Here are my favorites!
